Introducing the New Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Communications

As my three-year term as the founding editor of the Journal of Communications (JCM, ISSN 1796-2021) ends in October 2008, it gives me great pleasure to introduce Dr. Kia Makki as the next Editor-in-Chief of JCM. Dr. Makki is a Lucent Technology Professor with tenure, the Co-Director of the Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT2), and has been Associate Dean of the College of Engineering at the Florida International University. He has extensive publications and editorial experience in the field of communications. He has been Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member, and Guest Editor of several International Journals including Editorial Board Member of several telecommunication journals. He has been involved in numerous conferences as a Steering Committee Member, General Chair, Program Chair, Program Vice-Chair and Program Committee Member. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all JCM Editors, authors, readers, and reviewers for their great help and support over the past three years. I look forward to a bright future for JCM under the leadership of Dr. Makki.
